Readers get free trips on the EDF Energy London Eye and  London Duck Tours

The lovely people at South Bank Venues really pulled the stops out last night (7th September) in a bid to showcase the very best of London's Southbank. PAs who were successful in registering a place were split into 2 groups - half would be going above the Thames and the other half would dip in and out of it...

London Duck Tours
For those of you who don't know, London Duck Tours have 8 amphibious crafts, all painted bright yellow, and they run a variety of interesting tours of London. Two of these craft were reserved for the Executive PA Magazine event and readers were treated to a half hour tour (usually 75 mins). The tour commentary was actually really good (we even got to hear where Jeffrey Archer lives) from a guide dressed like Mr James Bond as a reminder that they do 007 themed tours as well.

London Eye
One of the better ways you can experience the London Eye is to book a champagne capsule - perfect for entertaining clients / team building / parties etc etc. A few PAs had been worried  they'd find the height uncomfortable - none of them actually did. We had 2 capsules reserved for readers last night, each with guides and waiters on hand to point out landmarks and keep everyone's glasses topped up. Readers got to experience a 5 minute 4D preview before the 30 minute capsule ride.

Marriott County Hall
All four groups converged in Marriott County Hall's restaurant. Fate smiled on us as the sun made a well timed appearance around this time as the views from the hotel are stunning - Houses of Parliament, Westminster Bridge, London Eye etc etc. A great setting for an evening event.

Here we were treated to live music from the Funk City Party Band (a great trio), drinks and seriously good canapes. All the staff were very professional, friendly and approachable which, as we all know, makes all the difference at this kind of event. We also got to meet representatives from all the individual member venues:

Summary
Really well attended, well organised event so much praise due to Sharon Chou and the team at Southbank Venues.
