London's exclusive club

On the evening of the 16th July 60 Executive PA Magazine readers joined us at the London Capital Club to experience the venue first hand

For those of you who don’t know this exclusive venue is tucked away in the city of London. London Capital Club is reached by heading down a tiny little lane - you wouldn’t even find it if you didn’t know it was there. Luckily our readers had been briefed on how to find the venue so there were no problems for our guests.

The building itself is suitably impressive - beautiful high ceilings enhance the feeling of space and light and the rooms were very ornate and filled with big oil paintings. The rooms available for hire here are a far cry from the usual bland boardrooms you might find elsewhere - but while they are bursting with interior creativity they certainly don’t lack any of the technical spec necessary for a successful business meeting. Wireless internet connectivity is available on all the floors and the six private rooms, suitable for meetings, functions and private dining, are well equipped.

The General Manager of London Capital Club took the opportunity to greet Executive PA Magazine readers and explain some of its long and fascinating history which dates back to 1843. Previously the Gresham Club, it was named after its founder Sir Thomas Gresham - who also founded the Royal Exchange. Today, the club has a well deserved reputation amongst those in the know for being an exclusive business hub.

The evening included drinks and canapés in the Oriental Suite where PAs had the opportunity to get a feel for the venue while enjoying the delicious food and drink. Then they were invited to tour the venue to find out what it really can offer.
