'Opportunity to come and sample Yorkshire hospitality'
The Leeds Conferences Executive PA Magazine Reader Event was kicked off with a lunch held at Alea, an exciting ‘casino-come-restaurant’ venue, sponsored by The Midland Hotel (Bradford), Harewood House and Shine Business Centre. Our readers were given a presentation showing how West Yorkshire is a suitable area for a range of corporate activities and PAs were able to see the variety of facilities offered in Leeds. Following this, guests were able to make their own beauty products with Scented Events.
It was then onwards to the Conference and Hospitality Show which included exhibitors from all over the North of England. In the evening guests enjoyed a both scrumptious and traditional Yorkshire Dinner at Weetwood Conference Centre and Hotel and then found out all about the joys of chocolate from the Ministry of Chocolate. As the evening came to a close our readers had a relaxing night at the City Inn and Met Hotel in Leeds to prepare for the busy day ahead.
'The venues were first class!'
The next day brought a variety of things to keep everyone busy as some improved there golf with a round at Marriott Hollins, others tested out their culinary talents at a cooking demonstration at the Cooking School at Halifax. Others opted for a pampering session at Thorpe Park Hotel and Spa while the more ambitious let their creative juices flow by making their own TV programme at EventTV. After all of this there was then a vigorous city centre walk taking in the sights of the National Media Museum and other top spots, a perfect end to a packed and enthralling visit to Leeds!
Karen Bond, PA to Clinical Director, Countess of Chester Hospital said "Thank you so much for a very enjoyable and informative visit. I was very impressed with everything I saw and have been discussing Leeds as a potential venue for our next ESRA Conference later this year. I had a truly worthwhile experience, the venues were first class and I very much appreciated the opportunity to come and sample Yorkshire hospitality".
