Will you be jetting off to foreign climes this month? The answer is probably yes as the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals (CIPP) reveals that September is the most popular month to take annual leave.
While our European neighbours may favour the month of August – with many businesses shutting down for the entire months – it seems Brits prefer to holiday outside of the school holidays. And with the weather being a little hit and miss for the summer months here’s hoping that we catch some sun this month. According to the CIPP’s research close to a quarter of employees most like to request time of in September (23 per cent), followed by August (17%) and then June or July (13.6%). However, one in six people (16%) say they have no holiday planned for this year at all.
