Air China will be flying into London’s Gatwick airport – as the airline has announced its plans to provide a Beijing-London service.
Gatwick airport has recently unveiled its plans to focus on business travellers and part of this growth has been a strong focus on routes to the Far East. Already confirmed as operating into Gatwick is Hong Kong Airlines who will be launching its all-business class flights between Hong Kong and London offering two levels of business class service. Now Air China will also be hoping to cash in on the thriving Far East business market with a four-times-a-week service leaving Beijing on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday and departing Gatwick on the same days.
Gatwick is proving to be a strong player in strengthening relations between the Asia region and the UK – in October this year Air Asia X launched a route from the airport to Kuala Lumpur, while next year will see new routes from Vietnam Airlines to Ho Chi Minh and Hanoi and Korean Air introducing a Seoul-London route.
