Are your stress levels rising? The National Trust has an interesting method of reducing levels of stress… by handing out bottles of fresh air.
Studies have found that nearly three quarters of British workers (74%) feel stressed everyday - but 70 per cent say that escaping to the country revitalises them and instantly reduces their levels of stress. To highlight this, the Trust has been handing out the bottles containing nothing but fresh air to encourage workers to take a well-deserved break. Pent up workers can select from a range of ‘fragrances’ including the lakeside smell of Windermere, Cumbria and the grassy scent of Stourhead, Wiltshire.
“With most of us living in an urban environment and having little time to escape to the great outdoors, we thought it was about time the National Trust shared just a fraction of our copious amounts of fresh air with the nation” commented Andrew McLaughlin, Trust spokesperson.
