You might be on holiday but it seems the majority of you are still tied to the office. Thanks to a general tightening of the purse strings foreign holidays were few and far between in recent years. But according to TripAdvisor three quarters of Brits plan to take a summer holiday this year… so will it be a real break from the office or a chance to put your smart phone to good use?

  • Almost two thirds of Brits (62%) claim they never check their emails when they’re on holiday.
  • Of the 28 per cent who do check their email, one in ten admit to needing a daily email fix whilst away.
  • Five per cent of Brits lie to their partners about checking work emails while away - perhaps to keep the peace.
