When it comes to landing that new job it seems professional social network sites are proving to be a popular helping hand. A Europe-wide survey from Viadeo - itself a professional networking service - found that four out of 10 people had secured a job interviewed via the use of a professional service like Viadeo or LinkIn. In the UK the success rate was even more impressive at 67 per cent. And it’s not just job hunters who are benefitting - in the UK a quarter of recruiters had found and placed a candidate directly through Viadeo and 50 per cent had used the service successfully to locate potential employees.
