Workplace training is a hot topic – recently the British Chamber of Commerce called for the Time to Train regulations to be scrapped but how many PAs benefit from training provided by their employers?
According to new research from the Department for Work and Pensions the people most likely to receive training are people who work for large organisations, those who are relatively new to their role, staff who earn a high income and employees who have higher qualifications. It also found that women and younger workers tend to be more likely to undertake training. The report revealed that while training does have a small impact on salary the incidence of training are actually on the decrease. The one age group bucking this trend however is those who are aged over 50 who still seem to enjoy regular training provisions.
