..........YES!
A pack of Post It notes, a biro pen, a few envelopes… is it ever okay to steal from your workplace? An online study into Britain’s moral compass has revealed that nearly two thirds of us liberated office stationery for our own personal use, while a third say they have stolen from their employer. Whether it’s a measly envelope or something more valuable, the findings reveal you’re not alone in your actions, plus you could find yourself hauled up in front of the boss for stealing. A company with 200 staff, two-thirds of who help themselves to an envelope a week, could find themselves out of pocket by over 500 envelopes a month, so it’s unlikely they’ll be prepared to turn a blind eye. The results of the study also show a gender divide – with women showing they have stricter morals compared to men. Females are more likely to think of stealing office stationery has dishonest.
