Over half of respondents to a Learning and Skills Council (LSC)?survey felt that the chances of keeping their job or landing a new job would be greatly enhanced by aquiring some new skills. Fifty seven per cent of those surveyed confessed to feeling worried about their job security while that figure was nearly matched by the 51 per cent who felt boosting their skills base was a great idea. And when it comes to top talents three skills in particular were highly prized: Communication, IT and Literacy, problem solving and self management.
