Thanks to high profile celebrity endorsements it’s highly likely that more than a few PAs across the country are proficient in tweet-speak.?Industry figures from Hitwise have found that the micro-blogging website Twitter has seen traffic to the site treble and it is now the seventh most popular social networking site for Brits – coming behind Facebook, YouTube, Bebo, MySpace, Yahoo! Answers and Nasza Klasa (a Polish Facebook-style site). This increase is likely due to some rather impressive high-profile users – the most popular person on the website is the US President Barack Obama, with Stephen Fry, who recently tweeted while trapped in a lift, the second most popular user. So how many PAs out there are using Twitter? And are all these social networking style sites driving the demise of face-to-face interaction in the office? It’s time to confess and let us know if you’ve ever informed your company you’re handing in your notice via Facebook or used Twitter to let the boss know they’re late for their meeting.
