When it comes to organising a conference it's important to not forget the smaller details. For new research has revealed that the humble biscuit is a crucial element in any boardroom - with eight of ten respondents saying it improves the quality of meeting. The research, from Holiday Inn, found that those in the legal professional are most likely to be influenced by a good quality biscuit (67%) followed by sales, media or marketing professionals (65%). Rather surprisingly biscuits were judged to be the second most important aspect of the boardroom - following tables and chairs and coming in ahead of lighting, technology and artwork. And it seems if you enter the boardroom and notice a distinct lack of biscuit you should start to worry - 42 per cent of professionals indicated that they would not serve biscuits if they were about to fire a member of staff.
