It’s that time of year where the office Christmas bash is rife – but a new poll has revealed that almost 70 per cent of workers aren’t interested in the big event, which is sure to be a blow for hard-working PAs who’ve pulled out all the stops to organise a party for colleagues. The poll of 1,000 employees from The British Greyhound Racing Board indicates that the idea of socialising with people you may not actually like could be the main reason while many workers claimed they felt under pressure to be witty and entertaining. It’s also prime opportunity for normally-respectable people to lose their inhibitions as close to a quarter reveal they’ve told a colleague exactly what they think of them and 20 per cent confess to an office romance. If you still want to keep your job into the New Year may we suggest spritzers and a wariness of baring your soul!
