One in six people would lie to cover their own backs, according to a survey from Tower Software. The company asked people how they would react if they presented the wrong information to colleagues or managers due to file mismanagement and a dishonest 16 per cent of you would lie to cover up mistakes that have resulted from presenting the wrong document. According to Tower Software the most common outcome from these errors was personal embarrassment (23 per cent), but at the other end of the scale you could risk losing customers, legal battles, staff dismissals and poor publicity.
