With no more bank holidays until Christmas Day half of those surveyed by YouGov for Croner, directly blamed a lack of public holidays between September and December for feeling unproductive at work. Although 39 per cent of people voted for an extra bank holiday to recharge their batteries a significant majority would prefer to take control of their work pattern opting for flexible year-round working, or an additional annual leave day to take whenever they choose.
