I give it a resounding 5!!

This is one of the top 3 dining experiences I've ever been fortunate enough to enjoy. We were made to feel as though we were the only diners in the restaurant – despite a large party of guests at the other end of the room. The attention to detail was excellent in all respects. It is a truly exquisite and refined setting with the most highly trained staff, who are a credit to the management. The décor is beautiful with extremely relaxed seating and lighting. A place where a couple would be very comfortable for a romantic dinner, a group business meeting, family for Granny’s 90th birthday party, Ladies’ dinner or someone alone who just wanted to treat themselves. There is no pomposity and no dress code – although I suspect the team may frown upon jeans. Everyone is made to feel very welcome and the service is exceptional for every diner. There is humour from the Maitre D’, exceptional knowledge from the Sommelier and the waiting staff know everything we need to know about the food they are serving.

I wonder how one dining establishment can get everything so right and surpass all others in the fine dining arena? Quite simply……….. training!!

Rhodes W1 is one of London’s hidden restaurant gems and best kept secrets. Having opened in 2007, Rhodes W1 was awarded a coveted Michelin Star within 6 months of opening.

The kitchen is headed up by Head Chef Paul Welburn and run by Sylvain Lenhardt as Restaurant Manager with the help of Master Sommelier Yves Desmaris. Rhodes W1 has been described by Gary as the Restaurant he has always dreamed of.

The menu features modern European dishes that use only the best seasonal produce, locally sourced wherever possible. The décor in the restaurant was designed exclusively by Kelly Hoppen (OBE) for Gary and oozes glamour and sophistication with 24 dramatic crystal chandeliers and antique French mirrors and chairs. It is perfect for business lunches, private dinners and small intimate groups.
