We visited Hanbury Manor, a Jacobean Mansion set in Hertfordshire countryside, and dined at the Oakes Grill which offers a relaxed/informal dining experience, with views across the Hotel's golf course, and the option of sitting out on the beautiful Terrace, of course weather permitting!
The Oakes is light and airy with a contemporary decor and comfortably seats 100 diners. The hotel has 4 restaurant/lounges and each stipulates a slightly different dress code - the Oakes, with its "informal" feel specifies shirts/slacks. The waiting staff were welcoming, courteous/professional and attentive, without being intrusive, throughout the service. They were excellent!
The Mediterranean menu, although not vast, offered a good choice of dishes. The food was nicely presented, beautifully cooked and the portions were more than adequate. All in all, we felt that it represented very good value for money.
Overall, the Oakes Grill Hanbury Manor is a lovely place to dine; whether an informal working lunch/dinner with work colleagues / friends & family or hosting a more formal event for business VIPs or any other special occasion. Whatever your requirement, you will be very well looked after here.
