Min Jiang

As you enter Min Jiang, the first thing you notice is the exceptional customer service as you are welcomed at reception and your coats are taken away swiftly.  Then, you spot the magnificent view which runs the full length of the bar and restaurant.  Whilst perusing the menu, we enjoyed the house cocktail, “Min Jiang Treasure” (Champagne served with Mango Puree) which was delicious!

Our hostess (Jin) had explained some dishes from the menu to us and suggested how we might order - in case we wanted to leave room for dessert.  Our dinner consisted of Steamed Dim Sum; Crispy Fried Squid; Beijing Duck; Stir-Fried Scallops with Shimeiji Mushrooms and Asparagus; and Sautéed Gong Bao King Prawns.  We also chose a lovely South African Sauvignon Blanc from a very extensive wine list.

A fresh mint tea in the bar was the perfect way to end the evening.  Despite our best intentions, we were completely full so had to pass on dessert on the night.  I suppose it gives us more than one reason to visit again!

We were very well looked after throughout the evening - staff were attentive without being intrusive.  The food was absolutely delicious and the views spectacular.  There was a real mix of people in the restaurant – so it could be a good venue for business meetings, private dining, family events, special occasions and like us, just girls catching up!  It’s also nice to know that they don’t operate a “turnaround” policy.  I can’t recommend Min Jiang highly enough – I’ve already raved about it to my boss, colleagues and friends.  Whatever your reason or event, it’s somewhere you have to go – at least once!
